The Traveling Wave Positioning Sensor is a high-speed fault detection device used in power transmission and distribution systems. It operates by capturing the high-frequency transient traveling waves generated when a line fault (e.g., short circuit or lightning strike) occurs. These waves propagate along the transmission line at near-light speed.
